Donald Trump Projected To Win Florida
Brevard Times projects that Republican nominee Donald Trump has won the crucial swing state of Florida. As of 10:04 p.m., Trump leads Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton by 49.15% to 47.72% with 99% of precincts reporting.
Trump's lead over Clinton continues to steadily grow in the Sunshine State during the past hour.
The Democratic stronghold of Broward County had slow reporting, but now 99% of precincts are reporting and Clinton did not narrow the gap with Trump. Broward County had a relatively low turnout of only 68% of eligible voters when compared to other Florida counties with 71% to 86% turnout that went heavily for Trump.
Trump's win in Florida gives the GOP candidate 29 electoral votes and means that it will not be likely that the winner for the U.S. Presidency will be known until after 1 a.m. Eastern Standard Time when votes are counted western states.
