PALM BEACH COUNTY, Florida - A Florida School District is investigating why students were bused to a Hillary Clinton campaign rally on Monday in Port of Palm Beach, Florida.
According to the conservative website, The American Mirror, a Palm Beach County District Schools school bus pulled up to the rally filled with students wearing band uniforms and cheerleading outfits. When those kids got off the bus, the bus returned with another load of students.
Hillary Clinton was not at the event. Instead, former President Bill Clinton was the featured speaker stumping on behalf of his wife.
Not only did the students from Suncoast High School attend the event, but the band members also performed, according to The American Mirror. Photos on social media also document the students' attendance and performance at a political campaign rally, allegedly funded by taxpayer dollars.
After receiving media requests and citizen complaints about the incident, the School District of Palm Beach County issued the following statement on its Facebook page:
"The School District of Palm Beach County, by policy, does not allow students to perform at political events or rallies. This should not have happened, and it won't happen again. We are looking into this."
