Andy Anderson announced that he is running for the Florida State House of Representatives District 53 seat in 2016.

Florida State House of Representatives District 53 encompasses West Melbourne, Palm Bay, and the southernmost portion of Brevard County. The seat is currently held by John Tobia whose term limit will expire in 2016. Anderson's term limit on the County Commission also expires in 2016.
