Hartman Only Candidate To Qualify In District 2 Brevard County Commission Race

MERRITT ISLAND, Florida -- With just over four months remaining before voting begins in the Republican Primary for Brevard County Commission District 2 race, Michael Hartman (R- Merritt Island, Florida) announced today that he is the first - and only - candidate who has qualified with the Brevard County Supervisor of Elections.
Hartman qualified by obtaining over 770 signatures of registered voters in Brevard County Commission District 2 which consists of Kennedy Space Center, Merritt Island, Port Canaveral, Cape Canaveral, Avon by the Sea, Cocoa Beach, Snug Harbor, and portions of Cocoa and Rockledge and Patrick Air Force.
In contrast, four candidates in the Brevard County Commission District 4 Republican Primary race have qualified - all by petition like Hartman, according to Brevard County Supervisor of Elections records.
Candidates in both Districts 4 and 2 have until May 19, 2014 to qualify by petition.
