Charles Parker Guest On Bill Mick Live Thursday

MELBOURNE, Florida --- Brevard Time's conservative columnist and political reporter, Charles Parker, will be a guest on the Bill Mick Live radio show at 6 a.m. on Thursday.  The show airs on WMMB-AM 1240 & 1350 and can also be listened to online.

UPDATE: A replay of the show can be heard here.

Parker, who joined Brevard Times one year ago last week, has followed important Brevard County political issues that often go unreported or under-reported by other media such as the former Brevard County Clerk of Court Mitch Needelman's controversial multi-million dollar contract with Blueware.

More recently, Parker, who is also a teacher at Merritt Island High School and an adjunct at Brevard Community College, has reported on the school closings in Brevard County.

Prior to joining Brevard Times, Parker was a conservative opinion blogger for FLORIDA TODAY.  Coinciding with the start of FLORIDA TODAY becoming a paid news website, Parker was let go along with other Brevard County community bloggers.

"Since my conservative “Opinion" doesn’t "Matter” anymore for FLORIDA TODAY," said Parker afterwards. "It is not surprising that Matt Reed now feels free rein to castigate success and expose his liberal/progressive agenda whenever and wherever he can."

"I thought about starting my own site.  In fact, Matt Reed even taunted me," Parker said.  "But due to many personal issues (married with four kids and a grandchild), I realized I would not have the time to promote my own deal. Then along came Brevard Times."

Matt Reed is also scheduled to be on the show that day at 8 a.m.

The show continues on UStream.
