Feminists To Sign Wave Celebrating 40 Years of Legal Abortions
MELBOURNE, Florida -- The Brevard County Chapter of the National Organization for Women will meet at 4:30 p.m. today at the corner of U.S. 1 and U.S. 192 (Strawbridge Avenue) in Melbourne, Florida for a sign waving to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade where the high court ruled that abortions were a right protected by the U.S. Constitution.
At 6:00 p.m., the feminists will head over to Lexi Martini and Tapas for
more celebration activities. The public is
welcome to both events and Brevard NOW says it will provide signs for those who do not have their own.
Legal critics then and now still accuse the U.S. Supreme Court of judicial activism for the ruling in Roe v. Wade because such a right cannot be explicitly found in the U.S. Constitution.
