Wal Mart Worker Solidarity Protest In Melbourne

MELBOURNE, Florida -- A Progressive worker solidarity protest is planned at the Walmart Supercenter located at 8500 North Wickham Road in Melbourne, Florida on November 23, 2012 at 9:00 a.m.  

"I find it disrespectful to our heritage and to humanity itself that our national holiday about "GIVING" has become invaded by Wall Street executives and is now about "TAKING,'" said Victor Del Prete in an email.  "This is capitalism working, the people are pushing back and voting with their dollars."

Del Prete asks that Brevard County residents:

"Stand with Walmart workers in their fight for their rights. For decades, Walmart Stores, Inc have dragged down wages, forcing their workers to work irregular schedules, and intimidated and took retribution on any workers who fought back. It's time for the retribution to end, so come to this local Walmart to show your solidarity and tell Walmart that they need to pay their fair share."
