Protest Planned For President Obama's Space Coast Visit

MELBOURNE, Florida -- The Space Coast Chapter of FreeRepublic.com and the Brevard Tea Party plan to hold a protest at the northwest corner of Babcock Street and University Boulevard in Melbourne, Florida from 7:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 9, to coincide with the visit by President Barack Obama to Florida's Space Coast.

Organizers said in an email that the focus "would be on Obama lying about his plans for NASA when he came here four years ago, as well the jobless recovery and Fast & Furious."

The Obama for President campaign announced that President Barack Obama will deliver remarks at a grassroots event at the Charles and Ruth Clemente Center at Florida Institute of Technology campus located at 150 W. University Blvd., Melbourne, FL.

Doors open to the Presidential campaign event at 8:30 a.m.

Tickets to the event were distributed on Friday.
