Brevard County Political Hob Nob October 17

MELBOURNE, Florida -- The Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber, Titusville Area Chamber & The Greater Palm Bay Chamber will host an old fashioned American tradition – a Political Hob Nob.

The event will be on Wednesday, October 17th, 6pm to 9pm, located at Florida Today, 1 Gannett Plaza, Melbourne. Admission is $10.  Organizers say that the HobNob promotes interaction and discussion between voters and candidates and gives each a chance to voice their opinions and ideas.

The HobNob is open to all qualified candidates in any party (or with no party affiliation as well as non-partisan races) for any race in Brevard County.  Candidates may reserve a table through the Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber’s website, www.cocoabeachchamber.com.

A straw poll ballot, courtesy of Brevard County Elections, will open at 6 p.m.  Candidates who are table exhibitors will give a brief “commercial” on their candidacy, which will be scheduled between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.  The results of the straw vote will be announced at the end of the evening.

Reservations to attend the event can be made online at www.cocoabeachchamber.com for a cost of $10 per person, which includes light refreshments and a cash bar – beer and wine).  Each attendee will get one straw poll vote.

The Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce was established in 1968 and serves Cape Canaveral, Cocoa, Cocoa Beach, Kennedy Space Center, Merritt Island, Patrick Air Force Base, Port St. John, Rockledge, Suntree and Viera.
