Tampa Prostitution Strip Club Sweep Made Before RNC Convention

TAMPA, Florida -- The Tampa Police Department concluded a two-day operation conducted on August 16 and 17 dubbed "Keep it Clean" to deter prostitution and human trafficking during the upcoming Republican National Convention. 

Undercover officers conducted compliance checks at 12 adult establishments.  Police say that the main focus of the operation was to investigate prostitution and human sex trafficking of minors.  However, some cases expanded into narcotic violations.

Although these checks are done frequently throughout the year, Tampa Bay Police detectives launched this recent inspection as a result of information that prostitutes may be coming into Tampa, Florida to work in adult establishments during the  Republican National Convention.   

 

 

The compliance checks resulted in the following arrests:

5) McBreen, Jillian Erin, DOB 07/0585 - Offer to Commit Prostitution, Alibi Lounge
