Brevard Sheriff Candidate Todd Maddox Team Places Second During Pineapple Man Triathlon
MELBOURNE BEACH, Florida – Republican primary candidate for Brevard County Sheriff
Todd Maddox and his two teammates in TEAM MADDOX took second place overall in the Men’s Relay during the 27th
Annual Rotary Pineapple Man Triathlon last weekend in Melbourne Beach, Florida. More than 600 people participated in the event hosted
annually by the
Melbourne Beach Rotary Club. It is the oldest, continuously held sprint
triathlon in Florida which includes a .34 mile swim, 3.4 mile run and a 15 mile
bike ride. The overall winner of the triathlon was Ed Donner.
“As
a 10-year veteran of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, I believe
it is very important to maintain your physical fitness,” said Brevard County Sheriff candidate Todd Maddox. “Law enforcement is a stressful and physically
demanding career field, and running has always been an essential part of my
routine. I also try to lead by example and encourage others to take care of
their health.”
Sheriff
candidate Todd Maddox currently holds the rank of lieutenant with the Brevard
County Sheriff’s Office, where he has served for 22 years. Maddox has
been in law enforcement for more than 25 years and is very involved in the
Brevard County community. During his career, Maddox has received numerous bars of merit and
letters of appreciation.
