School Board Could Terminate Walt Peters and Joseph W. Fayed Tonight

On the agenda for Brevard County Public School Board's consideration during tonight's meeting will be whether to terminate Walt Peters and Joseph W. Fayed for alleged misconduct.

Mr. Petters is an administrative employee of the District and was assigned as Director of Plant Operations and Maintenance under an annual contract.  

Mr. Fayed is an administrative employee of the District and was assigned as Supervisor of Central Services in the office of Plant Operations and Maintenance under an annual contract.  

On September 23, 2011, Dr. Binggeli received an internal audit which alleged that the two men engaged in improper no-bid contracts with contractors with whom they had a personal relationship.

Brevard County Public School Superintendent Dr. Brian Binggeli has charged Petters and Fayed with misconduct in office, willful neglect of duty or incompetency.

The school board meeting begins tonight at 5:30 p.m.
