Party Affiliation Change Deadline For Presidential Primary Is January 3, 2012
The deadline for voters to change their party affiliation to vote in the upcoming Florida Presidential Primary Election is January 3, 2012 because the primary has been moved up to January 31, 2012.
Florida elections law requires that any voter who wishes to change their party affiliation must do so by the end of the twenty-ninth day before the date of the primary election in order to vote in that election.
Florida is a closed primary state which means that a voter can only vote for candidates within their own party affiliation during a primary election.
