City of Cocoa Beach Receives $183,500 Check For 400 Channel Dredge

During last night's City Commission Special Budget meeting, Jerry Sansom, Chairman of the Florida Inland Navigation District (FIND), presented Cocoa Beach Mayor Skip Beeler with a $183,500 reimbursement check representing FIND's 75% contribution to the City's 400 Channel Dredge Project.

The project was completed last month and allows boaters to gain ready access to and from the main channel in the Banana River.  The City is presently requesting additional FIND monies to construct a island spoil site to handle dredged materials associated with the City's future plan to dredge the 200 Channel.
