ORLANDO, Florida -- While it would be easy to paint the extreme stereotypes of skin-and-bone liberals shoveling a haystack of alfalfa sprouts into their mouths versus beer-bellied conservatives engorging on rare steaks, there are subtle differences to the dining out habits of the left and right, according to an Experian Marketing Services survey reported by the Wall Street Journal.
When it comes to dine-in restaurants in Florida, you will be more likely to see an Obama bumper sticker in the parking lots of Romano's Macorni Grill, The Cheesecake Factory, Friendly's and Hooters. Conservatives tend to prefer Cracker Barrel, Longhorn Steakhouse, Shoney's, and Bob Evans.
Krystal's, Whataburger, Captain D's, Steak n' Shake, and Chick-fil-A top the list amongst conservatives when it comes to fast food restaurants in the Sunshine State. Chipolte, Starbucks, Blimpie, Boston Market and Cold Stone Creamery are favorites for liberals.
Ironically, independents really do like have it their way. They tend to prefer Burger King.
