MELBOURNE, Florida -- The
Space Coast Chapter of FreeRepublic.com and the Brevard Tea Party plan to hold a protest at the northwest corner
of Babcock Street and University Boulevard in Melbourne, Florida from 7:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 9, to coincide with the visit by President Barack Obama to Florida's Space Coast.
Organizers said in an email that the focus "would be on Obama lying about his plans
for NASA when he came here four years ago, as well the jobless recovery
and Fast & Furious."
The Obama for President campaign announced that President Barack Obama will deliver remarks at a
grassroots event at the Charles and Ruth Clemente Center at Florida
Institute of Technology campus located at 150 W. University Blvd., Melbourne, FL.
Doors open to the Presidential campaign event at 8:30 a.m.
Tickets to the event were distributed on Friday.
Stay home tea party , you are not wanted. Pres. Obama does have good plans for NASA & even former Gov. Charlie Crist approves.
ReplyDeleteYes. And quit trying to get Occupy signs for your stupid protest. Romney/Ryan budget cuts NASA, the President doesn't
DeleteTea Baggers suck.
ReplyDeleteWe'd have been adding thousands of more jobs per month if the tea party reps in the house hadn't voted down every job measure. The Tea Party needs to go. OBAMA/BIDEN 2012 and vote against all tea party incumbents in the house.
ReplyDeleteGrow up tea party & stop embarassing the rest of us in central Brevard. It's enough that you managed to elect this unpopular Governor. We have had enough of your bitter tea!
ReplyDeleteWelcome Pres Obama to Melbourne, Florida. You have done a great job with the mess you inherited and in the next 4 years we will be reaping the benefits if the Republicans accept that they need to cooperate for the American people and NOT WASTE TIME VOTING AGAINST PROGRESS.
ReplyDelete.... and for the rest of us. Go away Obama. You and administration have been nothing short of an abject failure. You promised to turn this ship around from the follies of a failed Bush administration. You promised to get the budget under control, you promised transparency, you promised to end the war. You failed miserably. You have not kept one campaign promise, not one. Except the change, you changed things alright. You had full control of the house and senate, and yet you failed. You blame Republicans, who had no power at the time to stop you or your party. You couldn't even get your own party lapdogs to pass your own budgets. These very same lapdogs who have not passed a budget in three years. Those of us who studied you from the start and watched what you did and ignored what you said expected all of this mess. Don’t go away mad Obama, just go away.
Deleteif you can listen to his speech with all of the intelligence and independent critical thought you can muster, you might just be inspired and you might get some correct information. With the mess that our president INHERITED when he got to the white house, it would take any president longer than 4 years to clean it up. In other words, obama good, romney bad.
DeleteOh I have no issues mustering the intelligence and independent critical thought. I find that is my biggest problem when dealing with blind ideologues. I would implore you to heed your own advice. This is a tired counter point that has been used as deflection from the get go. A valid point, at first. That is until you start to dig up some nasty facts about the current administration. Shall we start by taking a look at who he appointed to run the Fed? Or to be more specific, who he has kept on board from the previous failed administration? Shall we take a look at the cabinet appointments made by this POTUS. No lobbyists? No Wall Street Bankers? Please! "In other words, obama good, romney bad." Your post does not support this statement one way or the other. If anything it’s a failed attempt at a veiled insult. Your post is in direct conflict upon itself. You leftists never cease to amaze.
DeleteMelbourne is facing the worst unemployment rates and the worst decline in house prices. Why people would continue to support Obama and his failed policies beyond me. It is as mystifying as criticizing Romney for being a successful businessman. Why in the world would people rather have someone who is not successful? If Obama is elected, the Space Coast will face 4 more years of economic decline.
ReplyDeleteDear Citizens of the United States,
DeleteWe, the republican party created a disaster under the Bush administration. We caused the biggest economic crisis since the GREAT DEPRESSION. Then, when President Obama was elected, he vowed to help the middle class get back on its feet. We, the Republicans, vowed to do everything we could to make sure that he would not be voted into a second term. that included creating a stale-mate congress that would hurt the American people even more, but we didn't care because all we want is control of the White House and to get rid of Obama for he cared too much for the people he was elected to serve. We, the Republicans, vowed to convince as many complacent, ignorant people as we could that all of their economic woes were because of the current president. What fools! Watch how many of them believe us! If we get Romney in there, imagine how much more wealth we can extract from the American people. By the time we are done, there will be no middle class. Just the super rich and the super poor! HaHaHa! What fools! What fools to believe that Obama could fix the mess we made in just 4 years. Small minded people are so easy to manipulate. Just tell them that God hates the guy that's trying to help you because he's really a bad guy. Get their church leader to tell them and some guy to write a blog about it. They will think this is fact and then we can continue to destroy the American economy. ~Brought to you by the Republican party and Mitt Romney. congratulations.
Apparently you are not aware of the information coming out today that he did have cooperation in Congress and passed up a plan by Rep's for a tax cut to the 2 lowest income brackets, tax reduction on small business, and to eliminate taxes on unemployment benefits to get the economy going. He rejected it and was determined to do the failed stimulus package against popular support from either side. Makes you wonder.......and Obama loves the poor so much he created millions more (1 in 6), Romney wants to eliminate that you have to be poor. I believe it was Obamas pastor that said God d@#m America.
DeleteMore hot air, deflection, and a fake letter to boot. Right, lets take a look at a snippet from one of Obama's many failed policies. Energy:
DeleteFeb. 4, 2009 – Just months after President Obama's Energy Secretary said, "Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe," the Obama administration begins "scrapping leases for oil-shale development" and cancels 77 leases for oil and gas production in Utah. Gas is $1.91 a gallon.
March 7, 2009 – ABC News says the White House is closely monitoring the expedited Solyndra loan project even as it was delaying new American energy production that would help make us less dependent on foreign energy. Gas is $1.94 a gallon.
June 27, 2009 - President Obama urges the Senate to adopt House Democrats' "cap and trade" national energy tax, the same one the president once admitted would cause electricity rates to "necessarily skyrocket." Then-GOP Leader Boehner later said the bill "would raise electricity prices, increase gasoline prices, and ship American jobs to countries like China and India." Gas is $2.50 a gallon.
Jan. 7, 2010 – The Obama administration announces new bureaucratic hurdles to American energy production that Secretary Salazar admitted "could add delays to the leasing and drilling process." Gas is $2.67 a gallon.
March 31, 2010 – Instead of opening new areas to energy exploration and development, President Obama blocks deep-ocean energy production on 60 percent of America's Outer Continental Shelf. Gas is $2.80 a gallon.
Dec. 1, 2010 – The president re-imposes and expands the moratorium on offshore energy production. Gas is $2.86 a gallon.
Jan. 2, 2011 – TIME reported that the Obama administration issued the first in a series of regulations on January 2 designed to unilaterally impose a national energy tax. Gas is $3.05 a gallon.
May 5, 2011 – The White House issues a formal statement opposing House-passed Restarting American Offshore Leasing Now Act and Putting the Gulf of Mexico Back to Work Act, legislation designed to jumpstart American energy production, address rising gas prices, and help create new jobs. Gas is $3.96 a gallon.
June 21, 2011 - The White House opposes the House-passed Jobs & Energy Permitting Act that would unlock an estimated 27 billion barrels of oil and 132 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. Gas is $3.65 a gallon.
Nov. 8, 2011 – The Obama Administration releases a plan for a five-year moratorium on offshore energy production, placing "some of the most promising energy resources in the world off-limits," according to the House Natural Resources Committee. Gas is $3.42 a gallon.
Jan. 18, 2012 – President Obama rejects the bipartisan Keystone XL pipeline and the more than 20,000 jobs that would come with it. Gas is $3.39 a gallon, and rising faster and earlier than ever before.
Obama's plans for NASA is to shut it down!
ReplyDeleteThis statement is an ignorant Lie.
DeleteThe only thing ingnorant here is you. The Obama administration did indeed kill the Manned Space Program and for the most part the Space Coast. None of the Shuttles reached their designed flight profiles. Atlantis only flew 33 of her 100 mission capability. The fleet completed only about 40% of their serviceable life expectancy as a whole. The closure of the Shuttle Program has cost 30,000 or more jobs nation wide. Nearly 10 thousand in Florida alone. Obama has succeeded in moving $4 billion from the Space Shuttle Program and diverting this money to support his Climate Change and Cap and Trade Tax scheme. The $4 billion for the Shuttle Program is a very small sum in comparison to what Obama wasted on his Stimulus program. The ripple effect has been enormous. Obama has capitulated and given manned space capabilities to the Russians and Chinese alone. The United States for the present has no way to put humans into space.
DeleteAre you really that ignorant? Google is your friend and can tell you Bush cancelled the Shuttle Program and his henchmen burned any path to keep the shuttle alive. Bush's administration had to go to congress and get them to approve a waiver to violate the Iran Non-proliferation Treaty, in order to buy seats from the Russians to the ISS. Obama shut down Constellation because it was a rocket to no-where. The Ares I was designed for ISS travel but it's first flight was 2017. The ISS under Bush's budget was to get splashed in the ocean after 2015. Thus Ares I would be flying to the space once occupied by the ISS..........Obama extended the ISS to 2020 and handed over LEO flights to commercial providers (dang, I thought he was a Socialist?) since they will get there (and have) before 2017.
DeleteKeep reading the local tea-bagger hate emails, they are making you look like the insta-douche when you regurgitate the false info.
Dumb ass republican's
ReplyDeletePeople get what they deserve. Obama's campaign slogan of "Forward" will mean move forward in the ever lengthening unemployment line.
ReplyDeleteThis is today's headline: Obama, Stumping in Florida, Tries to Turn Focus to Medicare From Jobs. Obama has to shift the focus away from jobs, since he is the reason that the unemployment rate is so high and the overall participation in the workforce is the lowest in 31 years. He is playing a shell game with the public.
ReplyDeleteThursday in his convention speech, Obama said the republican voucher plan was bad, he wouldn't support that. THE NEXT DAY, HHS announced a program to grant 2,000,000 medicare vouchers. Just like his other promises, this one had an expiration date too.
ReplyDeleteObama has no problem saying whatever he thinks will get more votes, regardless of what he believes or will do. It's a shame. I had such high hopes in 2008, but he has been a total disappointment.
ReplyDeleteAnyone who still believes in the Obama administration at this point is certifiably insane.
