The Westboro Baptist Church has announced its plans to protest the funeral of a Palm Bay, Florida soldier killed in action in Afghanistan on August 8, 2012 at 12:15 p.m.
According to the organization's press release, the protest will contend that God is not on America's side any more and 'thank God for IED [improvised explosive devices].'
According to the Department of Defense, an IED took the life of 21-year-old U.S. Army Spc. Justin L. Horsley of Palm Bay on July 22, 2012 in Afghanistan.
This is not the first time that Westboro Baptist Church has protested in Brevard County. In April 2011, the group protested outside Kennedy Space Center, Florida during the launch of Space Shuttle Atlantis commanded by Mark Kelley, husband of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords who was shot in Tucson, Arizona.
During that protest, the group said, "We will remind her that she was shot for her support of sodomy,
abortion and idolatry. She used her platform as a politician to support
and promote fags, the killing of unborn children and the worship of
the military mutts."
However, that launch was scrubbed and rescheduled which resulted in a smaller crowd than the group had expected. Brevard Times then contacted Westboro Baptist Church to see whether they would return for the next launch attempt. Westboro spokeman Steve Drain said, ""If our schedule allows for it, we will be back." The group did not return for the next launch attempt.
Ironically, the Christian religious group is protesting military action taken by the United States of America in the Middle East and Southwest Asia which Muslims have called a "Holy War" or "Christian Crusade" against them on behalf of Jews and Christians. The military also came under fire by the Simon Wiesenthal Center, a Jewish organization, for an alleged Nazi SS flag photographed by troops in Afghanistan that surfaced on Knight's Armament's website in Titusville, Florida.

Palm Bay Soldier Killed In Action
HATES AMERICA & IS KILLING
YOUR TROOPS IN HIS WRATH.
Military funerals have become pagan orgies of
idolatrous blasphemy, where they pray to the
dunghill gods of Sodom & play taps to a fallen fool.

This message to be preached in respectful, lawful proximity
to the memorial of Spc. Justin L. Horsley
Wednesday, August 8, at 12:15 p.m.
Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Home,
950 Malabar Road SE, Palm Bay, FL
Spc. Horsley gave his life for the Constitutional right of WBC to
warn America. To deny us our First Amendment rights is to
declare to the world that Spc. Horsley died in vain, and that
America is a nation of sodomite hypocrites.
“Except the Lord build the house, They labor in vain that build it;
Except the Lord keep the city, The watchman waketh but in
vain.” Psa. 127:1.

THANK GOD FOR IEDs.

Great job, because now you just gave westboro exactly what they wanted.did you have to post the entire schedule? Did you ever stop to think that just maybe the family of this fallen hero might see this? Probably not because you were too wrapped up in a news story. Why do you not try instead to honor this solider and say somewhere in there that although protestors have said they may show up, this is a strong community and they will form a wall to block them out so it would be a waste of their time to even try. If I were a reporter that is what I would say, never know I may just be, and if that were the case I would say one with much more integrity then you.
ReplyDeleteJessee you need to learn how to read everything before you put your foot in your mouth! he did not give them anything that they did not already have it is clearly stated "The full text of the Westboro Baptist Church press release follows" all that info about the schedule came from westboro's press release! That means they already had it! DUMBASS!!!

ReplyDeleteOh I think people will show up,
ReplyDeletehere in Brevard County we don't take
this stuff lightly.
A brave soldier and his family have earned respect,
and their dignity and rights must be protected.
Disrespecting a fallen soldier and their family is not a first amendment right and should be a criminal offense!
ReplyDeleteAll retired military personnel should show up to protect this family!
All hand on deck!

A large "human shield" to to protect the sanctity of this funeral is item #1. Am now working on solutions to deal with those whom wish to insult the families who have lost loved one's serving our country. Whether ya approve of the wars or not, whether ya are Christian or not. Whether ya believe in Freedom of Speech or not..it is simply NOT ACCEPTABLE to disrupt a funeral just as it is not acceptable to cry fire in a theater.
ReplyDeleteSec. 46-130. - Loud and raucous noise—Prohibited generally.
ReplyDeleteBrevard County statutes clearly seem to be applicable in this instance to those who might disrupt a funeral; "Loud and raucous noise shall mean ANY SOUND which, because of its volume level, duration and CHARACTER, annoys, disturbs, injures, or endangers the comfort, health, peace or safety of reasonable persons of ordinary sensibilities within the limits of unincorporated Brevard County."
Full statute here:
"It shall be unlawful for any person to willfully make, continue or cause to be made or continued any loud and raucous noise. Loud and raucous noise shall mean any sound which, because of its volume level, duration and character, annoys, disturbs, injures, or endangers the comfort, health, peace or safety of reasonable persons of ordinary sensibilities within the limits of unincorporated Brevard County. The term "loud and raucous noise" includes, but not in way of limitation, the kinds of noise generated by the activities enumerated in section 46-131, except as provided in section 46-127. The term shall be limited to loud and raucous noise heard upon the public streets, in any public park, in any school or public building or upon the grounds thereof while in use, in any church or hospital or upon the grounds thereof while in use, upon any parking lot open to members of the public as invitees or licensees, or in any occupied residential unit which is not the source of the noise or upon the grounds thereof, and in any event at a location of not less than 50 feet from the radio, television, stereo, loudspeaker, motor, horn or other noise source." http://library.municode.com/index.aspx?clientId=10473&stateId=9&stateName=Florida

DeleteWe have over 2000 people attending and we are forming a human shield to block these idiots. We have a Facebook movement that will completely block this from happening.
ReplyDeleteLocal Media - Brevard Times, Florida Today, etc. are JUST AS GUILTY AS westboro filth - for REGURGITATING THEIR WORTHLESS WEAK MESSAGE FOR THE MASSES.
ReplyDeleteThanks journalists way to respect the FAMILIES. good one, really - subhumans...
It is extremly sad that there are people out there stupid enough to follow the message of the Westboro Babtist Church! I have never fully supported a war in my life...but I support our troops! ?It's too bad that when it comes to people like this...you just can't fix stupid!!!!
ReplyDeleteBeing a former soldier, 82nd Airborne Division, Ranger (Infantry), this is sad and upsetting. I have heard of these people before. But now they are coming to my home town. If you don't agree with war, republican or democrat, that's all politics. Being a soldier and giving the last full measure of devotion to your country, is sacrifice, it ha nothing to do with politics, nothing to do with who you vote for, to you (as a soldier) war is about your family, loved ones, the men next to you while you are deployed. It's not political, it's American. It is about pride, in yourself and your country. This country is in poor shape, killings in movies, protesting at funerals, and boycotting a Christian franchise because the font support gay marriage. God isn't against America. Americans are against America. 1% er's who feel they are owed something. Radical groups like these people. And just society in general. I pray every day, and I know God issues Salvation & Punishment individually, not nations at a time. I would attend, but honestly it is probably best I don't. Otherwise I am sure my tolerance for this disrespect would fade quickly and I would be on Fox news.
ReplyDeleteThe First amendment gives you that right ,But if you mess with a "Herd"soldier ,We have the right to defend his rights too,or did you forget ?
ReplyDeleteThis makes me sick. I was born in Melbourne, Florida but now live out of state but if I were still in Florida, I would help this poor grieving family (even though I don't know them) over this nut job of a church! Never seen such horribleness against the brave soldiers who fight for OUR rights. God is everywhere and he is a glorious God and he will have the empathy to forgive the IDIOTS of Westboro Church... and I say "church" lightly and with a little vomit coming up!
ReplyDeleteWBC is full of wackos! I'm just wondering where in the bible it says GOD Hates?! REALLY?!?!
