In a recent opinion piece posted by Scott Ellis in Florida Today, he once again attacked the Blue Ware contract to digitize Clerk’s records. He has been doing this regularly throughout the campaign, even going so far as to file a lawsuit regarding the matter. Until recently, I believed that these assertions were simple campaign dirty politics, and regarded them as such. But in an e-mail partially released by Ellis in that opinion piece, the source of his allegations has finally been revealed, and it is shocking.
A disgraced former Blue Ware employee, who was terminated for embezzlement and who has been trying to extort money from the company and its owner ever since, has been Ellis’ source of these false and possibly criminal accusations. According to the complaint filed with The Michigan State Attorney and Wexford County Prosecutor, Geaney began to attempt to extort money and property from his former employer almost immediately following his termination for embezzling thousands of dollars and attempting to usurp Blue Ware clients for his own private business schemes. Documents show he threatened several times to interfere with the 2012 election if his demands were not met.
Nick Geaney, who has been living in Michigan on an illegal foreign Visa since he was fired from Blue Ware Inc., has incriminated himself in threatening emails as the pivotal key informant for Scott Ellis’s accusations. But what is most disturbing is that there are questions about when and how much Ellis knew about Geaney’s crimes. Ellis involvement is sure to be investigated along with Geaney’s activities.
The e-mail distributed by Ellis as the lynch pin to his alleged Clerk’s contract conspiracy failed to include the opening paragraph of the original content sent also to Blue Ware and Clerk’s Office staff, which included Geaney’s threat that if his former boss did not meet his demands, he would send his tale to media and law enforcement officials and to Mr. Ellis. It would seem that Ellis deleted this crucial first paragraph intentionally. Why else would he not quote the document in its entirety? Following Geaney’s threat, (which has been turned over to Michigan authorities) he outlined his story, which in addition to being remarkably similar to previous allegations made by Ellis, was also verbatim for the final message sent to the media by Ellis. Collusion seems evident.
This, in addition to the fact that Ellis has also quoted from internal Blue Ware records which have been reported to law enforcement as stolen from Blue Ware by Geaney, and which Ellis would have no access to unless received from Geaney, indicate that Ellis has either been in contact with or perhaps even in collaboration with Geaney throughout his attempts to blackmail his former employer.
Ellis timing of his release of this information, just a few days before the election gives credence to the threat to “interfere with the 2012 election”.
Further incriminating is that Ellis removed the post shortly after it was leaked on another blog that Geaney was going to be investigated. Who but the guilty tries to cover their tracks?

How silly that you would say that Ellis 'deleted' the first paragraph. Is it possible that the person who submitted it to Scott Ellis, submitted it minus the first paragraph?
Remember when you had to do a retraction before on a Needelman story? Get ready for another one.
And I find it positively AMAZING that you'll print this but never quite did a follow up on the half million dollars that was submitted to blueware before a contract was signed. Supposedly as a good faith deposit. I don't know that much about government contracts but I do know enough to know that as a government entity, including municipalities, a good faith deposit isn't necessary as by FS you are required to pay your debts.
Or how about those chief deputies that campaign while on the clerks time? Nothing? You got nothing?
The Annual Report that was printed at a cost of $16,000.00 dollars of the tax payers money that really is a Mitch Needelman campaign report? It's ok though cause they used 'fees collected not tax dollars'. Wonder how much it cost to mail? I wonder who it was mailed to? Everyone? Republican's?
Do we even know if it was legal for Mitch to outsource the employees? What happened to all those passports, marriage licenses that were issued by source II people before it was found out that source II people could NOT issue passports and marriage licenses? Do we have hundreds maybe thousands of people with invalid passports and marriage licenses?

Let me answer a few of your comments and more will be coming, but honestly you really do not have a clue what you are talking about.

Oh, the annual report Brenda, once again. It was paid for with the same funds that Scott says he used to buy a building that cost over $2M to house the clerks records. The records that are required by law to keep. Scott published his annual report in '08 just before the election and no one says a word about that! Why is that Brenda? So you are really full of a lot of facts that are not complete. You do not tell the whole story and you really need to stop listening to only half of the story. Remember Paul Harvey, Brenda, the rest of the story . . .
Brenda, and I say this with all sincerety, you are so full of it your eyes are brown. You have no proof of a single thing you posted. You have no knowledge of who does what on county time, and unless you have solid proof of that ready to show in court, you are up for slander, libel and every other kind of lawsuit from the people you are accusing. And I think it is going to happen. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE is printing your posts from here and filing them. After this election you are going to find out the consequences of running your mouth with no proof of it. All have agreed to sue, but to wait until after the election. And it matters not who wins. The lawsuits will go forth. So I hope you have a fat bank account to defend yourself. Or, like Scott, will you claim YOU are a poor sharecropper with no money and need a public defender? Oh, wait, those are only available in criminal trials! Civil trials you have to pay for your attorney. And the burden of proof for the complaintant is much easier to prove. The proof has been posted of the payment made. The escrow account is not public record. Maybe the company wil tell you to call their attorney for the escrow info. Why do you all keep asking for info that is not in anyone hands. Anyway the contract is signed they took the escrow and it now belong to the company the clerks office signed the contract with. Get a life!

Do you receive any type of compensation by Source 2, BlueWare, BlueGem, RoseWare and or even a company affiliated with Rose Harr? Mr. Dupree, how did you meet Ms. Rose Harr? What are your dealings with Mr. Needelman and the Clerk of Courts? Mr. Dupree, do you own any businesses with Mr. Needelman past or present? Did you or did you not discuss the employees of the Clerk of Court’s being outsourced prior to Mr. Needelman taking office? Please be careful Mr. Dupree, Bill Mick has said on air you told him. Since this is true and you don’t really have to answer, doesn’t that confirm there was no deficit and the smoke and mirrors you keep referring to were actually the smoke and mirrors you all were trying to portray to loot the County of money? DeleteWhy didn't the outsource/insource contract get opened up to other bids? It seems that if saving money was the intent wouldn't the Clerk want to find the best value for the money? Open competition would create that environment, it seems that the pilot program for 6 months was cooked all along for Source 2 to win. This gives the indication that the Clerk is getting a kick back for the no-bid contract award when he came out and said he would have open bids after the 6 month pilot period was done.

You should have taken the questions to the conference room you had locked and sat down with everyone and asked what you all should do! You sat amongst these people and prepared a list of those that would be fired, outsourced, demoted, transferred and or beat upon for your satisfaction. Why are you still employed? Back to your statements…..since you announce this like it’s such exciting and truthful information why didn’t the current Clerk take his time to appear on Bill Mick to update the viewers/voters regarding this? Hum, I guess because once again it’s a lie. Mr. Campbell you are really pathetic. For those that didn’t know, Mr. Sean Campbell has sought office unsuccessfully several times. Mr. Mark Cook who was brought in by Mitch is now an attorney at the Clerk of Courts who also has a long history of trying to get into office in Brevard County. I will admit he was a onetime County Commissioner, but after that he was never elected again. Oh wait did I hear correctly Mr. Cook, you too ran for Clerk of Courts and lost? The list goes on and on how you all just try to receive your pay from the tax payers. You just bounced around and until someone won, you found your paycheck. Pretty sad! Off my rant and onto research findings for the viewers. Let me talk about what you wrote. You are comparing a company from Canada that the Clerk’s Office does business with to outsourcing? Sir, you really should have listened more during your formative years. Having a contract with a company to provide a service that CAN’T be done inhouse is not outsourcing. Call me crazy….. You all took 140 employees that were current employees of the Brevard County Clerk of Courts Office and sent them packing to work for a company called Source2. You took away benefits, salary, incentives, insurance, and retirement. That is outsourcing. Having a company provide a service that they specialize in and updating it when necessary is not outsourcing. You all are so quick to bring families into this. Again a bully attack. However it doesn’t work……. I will not assume what Mr. Ellis does with his money, but I find it funny you are guessing about ones finances. Again here is your ignorance, Finances 101 put away at least 10% of your salary. Pay yourself first. If you are able to up the percentage do so. People should have at least 1 year of salary in savings. Mr. Campbell I hope you saved yours! However, this money needs to be saved from hard working income not no bid shams and looters of County dollars!
ReplyDeleteif you were terminated for using county owned computers for personal endeaavors, that was a true and reasonable termination. it does not matter if you were on lunch or breaks, which i seriously doubt. if you are the person i am thinking of, you were online incessantly. don't forget the main frame logs your time and where you are on the internet. using government computers for internet access open up the system to viruses and hacking. you jeopardized the entire clerk's computer system with your actions. it has already been discovered that the "wise and powerful ellis" had not bothered to even have a basic firewall installed on the system. it is amazing it was not corrupted from virus infections long ago. you were rightfully terminated.

Don’t you find bringing this up hurtful to the children? By the age of Scott Ellis I would have to believe the children are old enough to read. I have read your blog earlier that he should have said he was separated, but I honestly don’t believe the readers care to read currently separated. If he is legally married, he is legally married. Also please don’t try to tell me he could have said he wasn’t the biological father. That is a horrible thing for someone to say for these children. I will admit I am an avid listener to Bill Mick. With that said why did Mr. Needelman not show up for his appearance on the Bill Mick show? Please do not say because Bill Mick picked his candidate. I do not listen to Bill Mick for his choice in candidates or to agree every time with his views. I would like an answer to why people like me did not get a chance to listen to Mitch Needelman’s views on the office and his responses to the accusations.
A close friend of mine received an email from the current clerks staff assistant regarding why I should vote for Mitch Needelman. I would like to know if other employees were allowed to write such a letter and speak openly about how they feel with regards to the office?
Why does Mitch Needelman supporters make accusations about Scott Ellis anonymous and attacked those of Scott Ellis supporters anonymously? I’m asking because I have noticed names on Florida Today blogs and this blog for Scott Ellis, but not for Mitch Needelman. I too have looked at the few they say are make believes and have to say I tend to believe that. Please don’t tell me these are disgruntle ex employees. I don’t care if they’re disgruntle, they still have information regarding the office and I am sure they still have associates that work in the office.
Why does Mitch Needelman bloggers say a portion of the story? I don’t understand half of what you type because only certain things are said. Please say what you mean. You seem to say something about contracts and finding records, but you don’t say if this was in human resources, court cases, financial reports etc. Say what you mean! I am reading, but not understanding.

I have reviewed both candidates website, biography, and attended one forum in May. These are just a few questions I have. You seem to know everything and anything about Scott Ellis I would really like real answers not accusations. I am not asking the Scott Ellis supporters questions, because I have read Scott Ellis responses and there’s. I’m not bias here and I assure you neither are my friends that have been watching this and the many other blogs. I appreciate your time in answering these questions rationally and with insightfulness.

Deleteif scott ellis mouth is moving, he is lying. the point was made through the candidate profiles. his "children" are grown adults. but as you can see, you assumed from what you read that they are small and barely reading. see? that is the sham that is the man. his wife and her children left years ago. that is not a marriage. but he needs to portray family stability to appear to be a normal candidate. so he lied. as he does about everything. he did not raise these children. their mother did. in another state with no help from ellis. this is brought up to show character or lack thereof, and the propensity to lie, even when the truth is okay.
You may be an avid listener, but apparently you missed all needelman's appearances on bill mick's show. he has been on there a couple of times. bill mick, in his zealous support of ellis, did not moderate well, and had preassigned callers to ask loaded questions that favored ellis. these people were known ellis supporters. mitch supporters were left on hold. not a fair forum. if you have already been fed to the lions, why come back for more? and that is the truth of that matter.
all clerks employees have the right to express their opinions. anyone can write anything, and the disgruntled ex-employees have taken full advantage of that in the blogs. the only criteria for expressing their opinions, and this seems perfectly reasonable to me, is that they are not to gossip on WORK time or interfere with the operations. but they have break times and lunch and none of them are censored in any way on their own time. if they say otherwise they are lying.
Needelman people post anonymously because they do not trust scott ellis to keep this civil. he is something of a loose cannon, and we have experienced his wrath in previous elections. this time you will see very shortly he or his supporters have done some irrational and frightening things. they are way over the top for a little election like this one. scott will track you down, and he knows people to help him. watch for news of recent events on that front. i for one do not want him to know my name. i am not posting anything that is not true, but i also do not take this seriously enough to open my front door and find the joker standing there. so i will remain anonymous.
it is pretty simple about the records. ellis accuses needelman of no bid contracts and fraud. the fact is that during audits in preparation for the digitization process, many, MANY no bid, friends contracts and out of state and out of country contracts scott did have surfaced. that is why he is against digitizing. he was the sloppiest record keeper ever seen. he was deliberate in this because he thought no one would ever delve into the warehouses. well now they have. and they are finding lots of things. we know the gist of it, actually that is wrong. we know the detail of this, but there is good possibility scott will be investigated by state attorney on some of this, and we do not want to mess up that possibility. so we tell just enough to prove it exists. people who understand these things know that enough has been told to prove existence of the truth.
Scott's appearance comes under attack because it is defiant in nature and he does it purposely to offend people. I have seen himm at functions that are formal with everyone in tuxedos and evening dress in his same old khakis and plaid shirt. this is a slap in the face to all attending, and it shows his character. he does this deliberately. it is part of his self destructive nature. it also speaks to his character that he would disrespect the host, the venue and the other guests.

DeleteI will try, he stated in his campaign literature he is a family man. We have never seen him with the children. We have nothing against someone raising other peoples children. Mr. Needelman raised an adopted son from birth. He and his wife are still together. They enjoy their grandchildren almost every day. Mr. Ellis' wife is no where in sight. We are not even sure if they are still married. That is his business, but if you have no stable family life then one wonders about your business life. Family life is discussed in every election, not just the Clerks race.

Mr. Needelman did not appear on Bill Mick just because of the reason you have already stated. He was on the show twice before and those interviews I believe are still on their website. Mr. Needelman appeared at the Tiger Bay debate last Wednesday and was open to answer any questions asked of him. Please do not read into his not appearing as something it is not.
I am not aware of letters, but he has supporters who are currently working for him at the Clerks Office. If you have been in business as I am guessing you have been, when you have a new leader not everyone likes change. Mr. Needelman has made changes and some do not like them. All change is not bad, but some have a hard time with it.
Needleman supporters are afraid of Mr. Ellis and his supporters. Mr. Ellis and his supporters have been out damaging Mr. Needelman's signs. In fact he was caught doing so at Apollo and Babcock St. just the other night. They are not just damaged they are destroyed. Does that tell you why no names are usually posted? They are afraid of what they might do to them. The Ellis supporters are many who have been fired for not doing their jobs. Their personnel files are public records. You have the names please check them out.
The problem is whatever Mitch Needelman says can be backed by public records. Mr. Ellis only tells part of the story and he leaves out facts that would change the story. Mr. Ellis can make up anything he wants to because he is currently not a public official. I hope this has helped answer your questions. Needelman has NO problem having his son do his dirty work.. If you haven't seen the news yet you might want to watch it... It is really sad Needelman could careless about YOU. DeleteScott Ellis is only concerned about those records being digitalized because he KNOWS many files contain numerous "anomalies"....one of Scott's favorite words. He knows it is going to be traced back to him. I have numerous emails which would indicate this but am not going to share right now. He KNOWS he should have covered his tracks better.

a) $500K was provided to Blue Ware/Roseware prior to the official contract signing which Mr Needelmen claimed was "a good faith to negotiate."
b) Mr Ellis has produced specific information about at least one capable firm who provided a bid over 50% less in price than that awarded who quoted at least if not more services.
But apparently the "$1/2 million" question was answered "over and over again." Yes, and that answer has been found wanting -- to say the least.
Since when is a firm given a check for $500K of tax payer money as a good faith to negotiate?
Nice tactic to divert the issue by saying "we answered that over and over, but Scott has a long history of no bid contracts! Trust us! And he's a drug addict with no fashion sense! And he's ugly! And the truth will come out after the election!"

DeleteNo, the wire transfers are immediate. Last Monday Needelman transferred $40,000 to Blueware and they handcut the paychecks they could not afford the Friday before.
Deleteokay troops. to finalize the truth about this lie over what happened last night. Michael Needelman was strong armed at a sign site by one of ellis workers. Needelman videotaped this individual. Needelman went to W. Melbourne police and filed assault report. The cops at the station recognized the individual on the video. You guess why he was so familiar to them. the dots are easy to connect. This report was filed at 10PM.
ReplyDeleteFinding out about this, Ellis or his "person" went and filed a report at MIDNIGHT counterclaiming. Unfortunately for them, the video was clear as to who the aggressor was. So this second report was filing false information.
Scott ran to the media and released his version of things. Because there was a police report, the media bought it. They did not realize there was earlier report. Media has been contacted and that is being straightened out even as I write this.
Additionally, the 10PM report with accompanying video was enough evidence to file injunction against Ellis's "helper". I will not name the name here. But it is public record now that the protective injunction has been granted.
Someone on ellis team committed a career ending act here. Stupid, stupid, stupid. As I said before, was the prize really worth it?
Ellis, stop now. You are digging yourself in deeper and deeper. It really is not worth the price. Now adding filing false police reports to the rest of it?

Other counties were/are looking into what he did to save the clerks office. The other counties need help and Mitch could give them the tools!
