Dirty Brevard County Politics Caught On Surveillance Video

WEST MELBOURNE, Florida -- Surveillance footage caught two Mitch Needelman supporters obstructing Scott Ellis for Brevard County Clerk of Court campaign signs with Mitch Needelman signs in the dead of night.

Ellis says that thirty-eight four-foot by four-foot signs were put up in the south end of the county. Ellis adds that one of his 1- 4’x8’ signs at the corner of Palm Bay Road and Minton Road was stolen last week.

  1. okay troops. to finalize the truth about this lie over what happened last night. Michael Needelman was strong armed at a sign site by one of ellis workers. Needelman videotaped this individual. Needelman went to W. Melbourne police and filed assault report. The cops at the station recognized the individual on the video. You guess why he was so familiar to them. the dots are easy to connect. This report was filed at 10PM.

Finding out about this, Ellis or his "person" went and filed a report at MIDNIGHT counterclaiming. Unfortunately for them, the video was clear as to who the aggressor was. So this second report was filing false information.

Scott ran to the media and released his version of things. Because there was a police report, the media bought it. They did not realize there was earlier report. Media has been contacted and that is being straightened out even as I write this.

Additionally, the 10PM report with accompanying video was enough evidence to file injunction against Ellis's "helper". I will not name the name here. But it is public record now that the protective injunction has been granted.

Someone on ellis team committed a career ending act here. Stupid, stupid, stupid. As I said before, was the prize really worth it?

Ellis, stop now. You are digging yourself in deeper and deeper. It really is not worth the price. Now adding filing false police reports to the rest of it?

    1. From curious reader. I read the first post and noticed you wrote about an
injunction and it being public record. I admit I went and looked under
Michael Needelman's name and I don't see one. I am pretty familiar with
public records, but not an expert by any means, but I thought it would be
showing a case on the Clerk of Courts website like you wrote in your post.
I also have to say that I have been sitting back watching all these post and
accusations and this time I am asking questions. Should I contact West
Melbourne PD as you said they took the report and see what they have? Let
me clarify. Michael Needelman called the police at 10pm and the Ellis
supporter contacted the police at midnight? Will the reports be public
      record?

    2. The injunction was just issued today. It takes website about 48 hr to catch up. Ditto with police reports. Not released to public for 72 hrs. Ellis knows this. His goon was dispatched last night knowing the reports would not be available until after the election.

  2. what is this? this shows nothing but a couple of people walking around some signs. ALL campaigns are out now at night maintaining signs. big deal. this is nothing. more ellis lies and exaggerations.... is this all you can come up with? ppeople walking around some signs?

  3. Do either of you candidates realize how nauseating your campaigns have become? And this behavior is from two REPUBLICANS! I can't imagine how you'll behave against democratic opposition. If there were a viable write in candidate, he or she would probably win. Grow up gentleman.

  4. Brevard Times - I find this disturbing that you would post this video with this headline. I watched the video closely. I do not see anyone touching any sign. I do not even see WHOSE signs these are. The video was shot from the rear of the signs. So how did you determine that Needelman's people were tampering with Ellis signs? In these last days of the campaign there are a lot of campaign workers out maintaining signs. How do you know for a fact that is not what was happening here? I think you may have jumped the gun.

As it turns out, the opposite is the truth. This is not an OpEd piece. This is BT going out on a limb that is not very steady....

    1. plus, one of these guys in the photo is wearing a NEEDELMAN shirt. do you really think if they were out vandalizing they would be stupid enough to wear identification! jeez, people!

    2. a little overly dramatic. hardly the dead of night. according to the police report filed by needelman against an individual (identified as a brevard deputy and long time supporter of ellis) for assault at this site, it happened about 9PM.

  5. If BT is 'going out on a limb' here than so is WESH2 who has the same video up (that also shows the larger signs blocking Ellis'). So, I highly doubt they are.

    1. so what video are you looking at? i see NO ONE touching any of the signs.

    2. After interviewing Needelman WESH backed down in later newscasts. Channel 13 declined to cover at all after viewing the Needelman video. BT needs to retract based on actual evidence. Scott's people guilty. Cook probably going to end up as jail guard if even still employed. Good last night of campaign for Mitch team. Scott goes to bed in disgrace.

Oh by the way Scott. There is a drug rehab center up in Tennessee called English Mountain Recovery Center. Sound familiar?? Ya know I am betting you NEVER heard of it!!!

    3. I have never heard of it. The proof of the signs is all over the south mainland. The video with Cook shows nothing but the NeedleKid admitting he was messing with the signs. I guess for the way they operate it was a good night out blocking signs.

  6. After this can I watch the alien autopsy again?

  7. How do we know this wasn't staged by Ellis? How do we know that this isn't two of Ellis' people wearing Needelman shirts? Ellis is so weird and would stoop to any level to win an election.

  8. Are you kidding me? This "video" doesn't show anything. If Brevard Times thinks this is a story, then this is ridiculous. This isn't a story. This shows nothing. If it showed someone actually destroying a sign, or pulling one up, then you'd have a story. SHAME ON BREVARD TIMES FOR RUNNING A NONSTORY FOR ELLIS IN A LAST DITCH ATTEMPT TO GIVE ELLIS SOME PUBLICITY.

  9. Here's the real story, Michael Needelman was threatened by an off duty law enforcement officer who is married to a disgruntled Clerk's Office employee. Here's the real story, Needelman signs have been destroyed and disappearing county wide. But Needelman doesn't go whining and complaining to the news or even to the Brevard Times. This is silly! Ellis is silly!

    1. That video was never submitted to Brevard Times by the Needelman campaign team.

Additionally, that video is not on Needelman's campaign YouTube channel.

    2. Did you bother to contact Needelman for comment before posting this story. NO! If you did you would have had both videos and could have seen the Ellis one was bogus! Shame on you. Irresponsible journalism! Retraction and apology necessary.

    3. The proof is in the signs. Take a look. We have left the kids' work up for all to see.

    4. "So im blocking his signs" Mitch's son admits on the video hes out blocking the sign. Where in this video does it show Cook threatening them or making them "fear for their safety"?

They were out being little punks and Cook called them out on it. Its poor taste to deface other peoples signs.

And the beauty of it. . with all these dirty tactics, Mitch still got his but handed to him in the polls hahhahahahahaha

  11. I wonder how many of these signs will be removed by these candidates after the elections?

    ReplyDelete
  12. That's where phase two of dirty politics comes into play.

All the stolen signs are then put back up again so the opponent gets fined.

  13. What happened? I didn't see it?

    1. Nothing happened. Just more of Ellis fabricated drama. This time he got caught red handed.

  16. Both videos are very informative! The one on this website shows nothing, the one on youtube tells it all! I guess we will have to wait on the reports! They will come out. As will the person doing the harassment!

You just can't buy the loyalty Scott Ellis has. The day laborers, they were doing their job. The people waving for Scott? We were enjoying our time in the sun. Loving life.
